Alpine Scramble - Third Burroughs & Skyscraper Traverse
A beautiful alpine traverse through the tundra SW of Sunrise. More strenuous than the route/place description as we begin and end at the White River Campground. Only for folks that are fully vaccinated against COVID.

White River Campground, parking area for Glacier Basin trailhead, 7AM.
Requests for Leader’s Permission are welcome the Thursday before signup opens.
We will begin and end at the White River Campground. We will start by hiking the Glacier Basin trail, then turn NW on the Burroughs Mt connector trail to ~6400’, then travel West and South to reach Point 7135. After that, West and North to reach 3rd Burroughs:
From there we will visit 2nd Burroughs, followed by a cross country traverse to Skyscraper. Finally, we will hike the Wonderland trail through Berkeley Park to reach Frozen Lake and descend to reach our cars at the White River Campground. Photos from prior trips can be seen here.
