Alpine Scramble - The Ark

The Ark, aka Rooster Mountain, is #74 on the Alpine Lakes Home Court list. Note the mileage and elevation gain, but half the gain will be on trail and my uphill pace is moderate at best. Plenty of daylight!

We will hike up Quartz Creek trail then another old trail up into the southern basin of the peak. Then will have option of the south ridge or the west ridge, depending on conditions and group decision.
