Alpine Scramble - Tamanos Mountain

Pleasant, student-oriented scramble of a Rainier 100 peak. It might be a hot day, so let's get outside and enjoy the mountain. Priority for Tacoma scramblers through July 2nd (see Leader's notes).

This is mostly a hike with a fun ridge scramble. Sweeping views of Mount Rainier, Governors Ridge, Cowlitz Chimneys, Banshee, and Goat Island. Priority is for Tacoma Scrambling students needing a rock scramble for graduation. Tacoma scramblers welcome too. Contact me and I will add you to the roster.

All others, registration opens July 3rd, 8:00am.

We'll move at a moderate pace with short breaks every hour. I plan to enjoy a long break on the summit. More details provided to registered participants.

Owyhigh Lakes Trail at 6:45am. You must drive through White River entrance before 7am. National Park Pass required. We’ll have an optional carpool meetup.
