8:00 am at White River entrance to Mount Rainier NP
This was originally planned as a scramble of Mt. Ellinor. Recent reports indicate that there is much less snow there than usual; in particular, what is usually a great long glissade was already broken up a couple of weekends ago. Since several students who need snow credit and/or experience had signed up, I decided to change the destination to Tamanos Mountain, which is west of Owyhigh Lake in Mount Rainier NP. It is a longer scramble, but has about the same total elevation gain.
