Stillaguamish Peak is located just west of Mt Dickerman and Barlow Pass, on the scenic Mountain Loop Highway. It has an unusually flat, grassy summit after a fairly steep short scramble up the summit block. On a fair weather day, it offers fantastic views of Glacier Peak, Sloan Peak, Mt Forgotten, Mt Baker, and the Monte Cristo peaks. With binoculars, we may be able to see Mike Sweeney and his crew over on Vesper Peak! Mike Cutcliff and I scrambled up Stillaguamish Peak July 2008 but via the Perry Creek Trail both ways (standard route). See my photos @ This route has less gain but more off-trail travel, and apparently is not often done. We will meet at Perry Creek TH (FS 4063), leave a vehicle there, take the others back to FS 4060, Coal Lake road. NW Forest Pass required @ Perry Creek TH.
