Alpine Scramble - Stevens Peak

For Rainier 100 enthusiasts: Help me Scramble the last of my 76 scramble peaks in the park. We will start at the Tatoosh trailhead (trail 161) and follow the south route. Note: the Rainier 100 eBook gives this route an 8 out of 10 for both Beauty and Effort. Please be comfortable with the distance and elevation gain when signing up.

Trailhead 8am.

Leader's notes

Route will follow the Tatoosh trail to a junction with an abandoned trail at 5400 ft where we will turn north. From here follow the trail and ridge to the saddle to the east of Boundary Peak. From the saddle we will connect with the route from the north and follow the standard approach to Stevens. We will return by the same route.
