Day 1. Meet at the SE 8th Street Park and Ride in Bellevue right off exit 12 on I-405 at 7:00. Further consolidate into two cars(?) and drive to trail head on Forest Service road 1570. Drive should take 3 hours. Begin hiking as far up road as possible (2400ft elevation) on climber's trail. Continue to Cyclone Lake (4 miles and 3000ft gain) and make camp. Route description includes brush wacking and possible route finding difficulties. Make camp near lake and relax. Ahhhh. Day 2, Get up early and continue to summit ridge and summit ( 1.5 miles and 2000ft gain). return to camp, rest, return to trailhead. Bring helmet, ice ax, snowshoes, crampons, overnight gear, insect repellant and 10 essentials. Trekking poles recommended for steep trail. When signing up with me, please include contidioners or scrambles you've completed this year. I expect this to be a strenuous trip regardless of moderate pace.
