This trip is ideal for students new to self-arrest and for graduates who haven't practiced their self-arrest skills in a while. We will spend the morning refreshing and practicing self-arrest skills. Everyone should practice their skills periodically. After lunch, we will head to the summit. After the summit, we will experience one of the Northwest's best glissade chutes.
Note on pacing: we will move at a slow to moderate pace. If you are looking for an aerobic workout, find a different trip.
If you would like to be an assistant leader, let me know, especially if you are interested in becoming a scramble instructor or leader.
Contact me if you are a scramble student who will not yet have had their snow field trip. We may be able to set this up as a make-up field trip.
South Renton Park and Ride lot at 6:30 am. Alternatively, if you notify me, we can meet you at the Safeway in Enumclaw at 7:15.
