Silver Peak is a mountain located in the central Cascade Mountains of Washington State, several miles southwest of Snoqualmie Pass. Appropriately named, the silver-colored appearance of the mountain's slopes can be seen from many miles away.
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS:
Drive east on I-90 55 miles to exit 54, the last Snoqualmie Pass exit. Meet at entrance to the Hyak parking lot. Driving time 1 hour from Seattle 65th Park & Ride. We will caravan from there to the Ollallie Meadows trailhead.
GEAR:
- Ice Axe is required.
- Trekking poles are recommended.
- Parking pass is NOT required for this trailhead.
ROUTE:
Follow PCT S about 1 1/2 mile. At a point between Silver Peak and Tinkham Peak take the climbers trail to the right. If you have not gone on this trail before you may miss it as it is obscure and not signed Follow trail to the saddle between Silver and Tinkham. Follow path as close to ridgeline as possible. There are boot paths (sometimes hard to follow) to both summits..
