Trip
Alpine Scramble - Seymour & Yakima Peaks
Enjoy fall colors on a scramble of two MRNP 100 Peaks near Chinook Pass. We will attempt Seymour first, which is a combination of trail, class 2, and some class 3 scrambling. Yakima is a straightforward optional add-on after we return to our cars that will add 1.5-2 hours total to the trip.

Meet at the large parking lot just east of Chinook Pass on the left side (traveling eastbound) at 7 AM. There are bathrooms at the trailhead.
This will be a slightly slower-than-moderate paced scramble. I like to lead trips in a collaborative, inviting manner where everyone participates in decision making and navigation discussions.
There is a chance of rain in the forecast currently; if the forecast changes to a 60% or greater chance, this trip will be cancelled due to dangers associated with scrambling on wet loose rock.
