Alpine Scramble - Seven Fingered Jack

Overnight trip to Climb Seven Fingered Jack in the Entiat basin

  • Pace: 2 mph and 1200ft an hour on trail and 700 ft an hour on scramble terrain

Overnight agenda

5.30am Seattle, 9-9.30am starting to hike from TH. We will attempt Seven Fingered jack on Day 1 and just hike out on Day 2 with a leisurely start. 

*Leaders permission required for conditioning and steep snow climbing skills*

Please use mountaineers form to request leaders’ permission. Direct emails and leaders’ permission before registration open date will be ignored. This should not be your first snow scramble with the mountaineers. 

While requesting leaders permission - please highlight

1. Your recent hiking and conditioning in the last two months
2. If you have done any snow camping before 
3. If you are comfortable with an alpine start
4. If you are vaccinated and are planning to carpool 

Please come prepared to help navigate. Recommended Pace : 1200-1500 feet an hour on trail or 2 miles per hour on trail
