Trip information primarily taken from 75 Scrambles: Day 1: Begin trip at W Fork Buttermilk Creek Trail. Hike approximately 8.7 miles to Star Lake and set up base camp. Day 2: Scramble SE ridge of Courtney Pk. (8,392’); then cross Buttermilk ridge to Oval Pk (8,795’). Day 3: Star Peak then hike 9.2 miles to next base camp at Boiling Lake. (75 Scrambles suggests returning to camp after Star Pk summit to collect gear. May look at a carry- over of Star to Boiling Lk.) Day 4: Martin (8,375’) and Cooney (8,321’). We may or may not do Cheops, which is class 3, but not in top 100 list. Day 5: Bigelow (8,460’) and out to Crater Creek Tr (will require car drop) and/or. Day 6: Hoodoo—I am still working on how I will tie this peak into this trip.
