Alpine Scramble - Red Mountain (Salmon La Sac)

Scrambling of the other Red Mountain -- maybe slightly better weather on the east side of the crest. Exploratory snow scramble. Please read instructions below for additional information.

TBD - probably around 7am at bridge over Cle Elum river on FS-46 - but this will be sent out to scramble participants later in the week.

This is an exploratory snow scramble.  Leader has not done this trip before.  Leader has beta from other trips to complete this trip safely.

If you have graduated from scrambling or climbing, you are free to sign up without requesting leader permission.

If you are a current Snow Scramble student of the Olympia branch, you are free to sign up without requesting leader permission.

If you are a current snow scrambling student of another branch - please request leader permission so I can review your progress prior to accepting you on this scramble.

We will go out a moderate pace which is around 1,100-1,200 feet per hour.  We will take a break at 15 minutes and then hourly until we reach the summit.

A full prospectus will be sent out to trip participants on the evening of Friday 5/6.
