5:30am South Renton PR. Park at the south end, across the street from MacDonalds.

We'll park at the barricade on the West Side road and then hike the closed road for a mile and a half to the Tahoma Vista picnic area.  Next, hike the abandoned Tahoma Creek trail (there is a least one sketchy area due to a wash out) to the suspension bridge across Tahoma Creek.  From the bridge,  we'll have great views of Mount Rainier.  Hike along the Wonderland trail to Indian Henry's Hunting Ground and the patrol cabin, then past Mirror Lakes, following gentle terrain until the final 700' (which are steep) of Pyramid Peak's south ridge.  The forecast is for a clear warm day and the view of Rainier should be spectacular.  Return by the same route or consider a car shuttle to end via the Wonderland trail to Longmire.

Bring standard scramble equipment including helmet, ice axe and scramble harness.
