They are doing construction on the road through August 2016. As far as I can tell the road will be open on weekends. But drivers should expect delays and road conditions on the middle fork are notorious for being bad. Drivers have been warned. Last minute change of destination may be needed if we find the road closed.
This is a long trip. I am guessing this trip will take 11-14 hours. The pace will be moderate. With plan breaks every hour or so. I will be sending out a map of the possible route will take on Friday before the trip.
If you are on the wait list you can check the website on Friday before the trip to see if you got on.
I have not done this peak before.
