Alpine Scramble - Pratt Mountain

Spring is here!

  • Technical 3, Strenuous 3
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 11.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,200 ft
  • Pace: Moderate

Route: Pratt Lake Trail --> Talapus Cutoff Trail --> SE ridge of Pratt Mountain
Here's a reference track: https://www.peakbagger.com/climber/ascent.aspx?aid=2774440

The route should be straightforward with maybe one exception of a boulder around 4600ft that requires a short bypass on steeper terrain. Since there's another trip to this peak before ours (on April 2) I will try to get some beta about conditions from them.

Pace will be moderate with 5 - 10 minute breaks once per hour or after 1000 ft of elevation gain.
