Snow scramble to a wooded summit but with great views along the way in the Lake Serene area

  • High Point Elevation: 4,270 ft

  • Route: Lake Serene (from trailhead to the lake) --> NW / W Ridge towards the summit
  • The summit itself in the trees but there are likely great views along the way of Mt. Index and friends
  • Pace will be moderate with 5 - 10 minute breaks roughly once per hour
  • Check the "Required Equipment" tab for items to bring
  • Scramble students: you are welcome to join if you have completed your snow field trip before this one
  • No leader permission required but please consider that the elevation gain on this trip requires some conditioning; if you are unsure about your readiness for this trip, send me an email.
  • Destination subject to change on short notice based on weather and terrain conditions
  • Expect an email with logistics 2 - 3 days before the trip
