Rainier Park road closure-no advanced notice Saturday night Nov. 7. Change destination to Norse Peak from Tanamos Mountain. Magnificent views on sunny, November cold scramble with possible 0-4" of snow above 5000. Road will be dry. Moderate pace: 11 miles round trip, 3k feet gain, S3-T2.

Drive SR 410 4.5 miles south of the Crystal Mountain Ski Area turnoff and turn right on Sunrise Park Road. Drive 3.4 miles to the Owyhigh Lakes Trailhead (3,760 ft).
6:30am TBD.......South Renton Park & Ride (between S Grady & Way Lake Ave S.)
High elevation early season snow dusting on sunny day should make Governors Ridge and multiple peaks surrounding Tamanos and Mount Rainier's eastside beautiful. Much of route is trail so snow should be friendly.
