6:00 AM at Esmerelda / Ingalls TH
Required: - Previous T5 scramble experience! - Excellent conditioning (14 miles & 8,000 ft gain) - Ice axe & helmet - Quick harness (webbing tied with a water knot) & locking carabiner - Cord loop or equivalent, with 2-3 ft reach (for klemheist knot) - 10 essentials - Overnight gear (tent/bivy, sleeping bag & pad, etc.) - NP or NW Forest Pass for each vehicle This is a 2-day 1-night trip: - Saturday ~ hike in and then up the couloir, camp/bivvy above couloir. - Sunday ~ summit, return to camp, pack up, and walk out. When to meet: - Saturday @ 6am with a plan to begin walking at 6:30am Where to meet: - Esmerelda/Ingalls TH, elev 4260 ft Directions: - Plan on 2 hours 45 minutes drive from Seattle - I-90 exit 85 and cross I-90 then turn right - Left on Teanaway river road - Right on North Fork of Teanaway river road - Follow non-paved and pot-holed road to end For more information about Mt.
