Climbing permits are $22 each, payable to the leader on signup. If the trip is canceled (e.g. terrible weather) you will not get your money back. If you have to cancel you can transfer your permit to someone else. If waitlisted you don't need to pay anything until/unless you get on the active list.
We will start scrambling at 5:30am on our long day. Pace will be steady and on the high side of moderate with periodic breaks for food, potty breaks, clothing tweaks. We will try to minimize stopping at other times, particularly at lower elevations.
Fitness is critical for a long day like this. As one metric - you should be able to ascend Mailbox with a 30lb pack in under 2.3 hours (old trail - kiosk to summit).
Students - you may sign up, but: you must have successfully summitted on a snow scramble of (minimum) S-3,T-3; and you must get leader permission (e-mail me).
This is an overnight trip, camping near the TH on Sunday (6th) and scrambling up and down on Monday (7th). More details as the day approaches and the choices become clearer.
