Strenuous snow scramble in Mt Rainier NP with up-close views of Mt Rainier, Emmons climbing route, and Little Tahoma, plus long glissade.

Need to have excellent physical conditioning & endurance. Involves 3,000’ off-trail ascent in snow (4,500’ gain in total), and the air gets thin for the last 1,500’ gain.

Need to be comfortable with glissading.

All members need to be vaccinated & comfortable with carpooling -- or -- contact me first for permission (to manage the number of cars being parked).

Up to 3 Everett Scrambling grads or students may email me for permission to be added to the roster before the registration opening. Upon the registration opening of Fri July 2 @ 3pm, all members are welcome to register online as per normal.

All drivers will need National Park pass, Mt Rainier annual pass, America the Beautiful pass (one per vehicle), or pay single-day fee at entrance.
