Mount Ruth (Mount Rainier)

Trip

Alpine Scramble - Mount Ruth (Mount Rainier)

A strenuous but not very technical scramble to an over 8,500 ft peak, with 4,500 ft of elevation gain and snow late into the season. This peak has in-your-face views of glaciers, Little Tahoma and Mt Rainier.

  • Strenuous 5, Technical 3
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,500 ft
  • Pace: moderate

Meet at trailhead 7am.

May  try to coordinate carpool from Renton P&R based on sign-up roster.

Beautiful Mt. Rainier mixed terrain, T3 technical scramble.  4500' feet of gain so Mailbox on steroids with views of the longest glacier in the continental US (Emmons), start of the White River -which is definately not white gushing out from Emmons and snow, inspite of recent hot weather.
