4:00 am, Issaquah Transit Center
Prepare for a VERY LONG DAY. We will start at first light from Alpental and follow trails to Snow Lake, then around Snow Lake to Gem Lake, then tag Wright Mt and return to Gem Lake. We'll then scramble Roosevelt, drop down to Chair Peak Lake, cross Melakwa Pass, climb Kaleetan (via the White Ledges), descend to the Melakwa Lakes. Rejoining trails, we will cross Hemlock Pass, descend past Snowshoe Falls and Keekwulee Falls, cross the Denny Slides, and drop from exhaustion at the Denny Creek trail head, 14 to 16 hours later.
