This is a long and challenging scramble, but oh so worth it!  After leaving a car or a bike at the Denny Creek trail head, we will drive to Alpental and hike to Snow Lake and Gem Lake. We then scramble up Mt Roosevelt (weather permitting), descend to Chair Lake, cross Melakwa Pass and climb Kaleetan via the White Ledges (weather permitting).  On the way down, we pass upper and lower Melakwa Lakes.  If the rocks are too wet to climb Roosevelt and Kaleetan, we can do the same five-lake loop but climb Bryant and Hemlock as safer alternatives.
