Alpine Scramble - Mount Roosevelt

Long, strenuous day that bags two classic peaks, five alpine lakes, and three waterfalls.

I-90 exit 20, 5:00 am

We will stash a car at the Denny Creek trail head, then start our hike at Alpental. We'll hike on trail to Snow Lake and Gem Lake, then scramble up Roosevelt, down to Chair Lake, over Melakwa Pass, up Kaleetan via the White Ledges, down the White Ledges, past Upper and Lower Melakwa Lakes, and then take the trail over Hemlock Pass and down Denny Creek to  the Denny Creek trail head. Expect 12-14 hours of walking.
