Roosevelt was one of my first favorite scrambles. It's one of a few that are rated higher on technicality than on strenuousness... Typically this trip takes about 10 hrs RT; I would like to do it in 9 hours. I don't intend to go "fast" but my preferred pace seems to be on the high side of "moderate".... 8-) Helmets and ice axes required. There may be some snow, and axes are advisable for steep heather on this route, anyway. I am staying at Meany Lodge on Friday night, so I will be unavailable from about 6pm Friday to about 7am Saturday. -Jerry
