S5 for a reason: 11 miles and 5300 ft gain, although most of this will be on trail. The scamble portion is way up the trail at the summit block. Yet this wee peak has a front row seat to some very impressive mountains. Prior trips report bewteen 7 and 9 hours for this trip. Please bring adequate amounts of food. There is a lake for fresh water two miles into the trip. We can top up there or when we return from the summit. Know your hydration needs, but consider carrying three liters. Please bring helmet and ice ax and your ten essentials.
