Alpine Scramble - Mount Jupiter
A great (but very long) early season scramble with fantastic views. Closure of the logging road gate adds to the fun with ~5000’ of gain over just under 20 miles.

Bring lots of water, other than vestiges of winter snows there will be no running water. Although mountain boots are required for the final snow section(s), attendees are encouraged to bring approach shoes for the long hike in and out. We will be hiking logging roads from the gate closure to where it passes close to the trail at 2800’. Photos from past trips to this venue can be seen here.
