Miller Peak is an amazing snow scramble!  By the time of this trip the road should be melted out all the way to the trailhead and hopefully a little ways up the mountain.  There are several creek crossings along the way so please make sure your boots are well waxed and that you bring your poles, which can be handy for creek crossings as well as snow travel.

This can be a bit of a long day so be prepared for that and a lot of snow travel, which is definitely more tiring than being on dirt.  Most of all, and I can't emphasize this enough, please  come prepared to have fun!

I will be bringing my dog, Theo, who does scrambles and hikes with me every week.  He is great with people and other dogs.  You are welcome to bring your dog provided a) it is people and dog friendly, b) has great recall, and c) has the stamina for this type of trip.  Also, if you are planning to bring your dog please let me know.
