This hike is very strenuous so it is important that you are in good shape and confident that you can make it. It is very steep (4,000 ft. elevation gain over 3.5 miles) but with amazing views of Mt. Rainier and the surrounding mountains. The clubhouse will not arrange carpooling so we will need to arrange it at the meeting place. Because of significant elevation gain early start is very important so I would suggest you that you put on your boots at the meeting place so once we come at the trailhead we can start right away. Please check your headlights at home and bring extra batteries since there is possibility that we will come back in dark. The pace will be moderate and steady. We will have a few short breaks just to catch a breath and drink some water. I recommend waterproof boots and tracking poles for this hike since there might be still some snow patches close to the summit.
