Alpine Scramble - Little Annapurna

Strenuous one-day ascent of Little Annapurna. We'll decide as a group if we want to out-and-back or if we want to do this as part of a one-day enchantments through hike. Please be in shape and plan for all day in the mountains. Please read the leader notes.

A one-day trip up Little Annapurna. We'll go with as limited gear as we (safely!) can to maximize our enjoyment.

This trip will only go if the weather looks nice. If the weather isn't nice here, there may be a backup.

Students and graduates alike are welcome. Please send me a note with answers to the following questions (with my answers, it's only fair you know where I stand ;)):

1. What was the longest day in the mountains for you this summer, and how long did it take?

Matt: Cle Elum Ridge 50k (31mi), 6k elevation, 8hrs, 43min - Sept. 22

2. What do you do to stay in mountain shape?

Matt: Run 4 days / week, core workouts x 2

3. Have you read some route descriptions (of the North Ridge of Little Annapurna)?

Matt: Yep

4. Would you rather go out and back from the Colchuck Lake TH, or would you prefer to start at Colchuck Lake and then go out via Snow Lake?

Matt: Nuh uh, let's see what the group wants to do first ...

5. Cats or dogs?

Matt: Oh please, dogs.
