This will not be the most common scramble of the peak done by the Mountaineers. It will be the Standard Route in Goldman, "Washington Scrambles". Take the Smithbrook Trail to Union Gap, follow the PCT South, going part way around Lake Valhalla, then leave the PCT and contour around the lake to approach the peak from the South. Elevation gain is about 2000 ft. Pace will be on the slow side of moderate.
