DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS:
Drive US 2 six miles past Stevens Pass to the Mill Creek U-turn, head back west towards the pass two miles to the entrance of Smith Brook Road. Distance is 85 miles from Seattle 65th Park & Ride. Driving time is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Forest Passes are not required.
GEAR:
- Ice Axe is required.
- Snowshoes with snow poles are required.
ROUTE:
Follow the road past the switchback and find a good place to cross the creek, then head up the ridge to Lichtenwasser Lake. Gain the NE ridge and follow to summit.
NOTE FOR STUDENTS:
Leader permission required before signing up for this trip.
