8:00 AM at Smith Brook Road
Lichtenberg Mountain is north of Stevens Pass. Our approach is from the east side via Smith Brook Road, ascending with some very good views along the NE ridge and then to the saddle and on to the summit of Lichtenberg.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS:
Drive US 2 six miles past Stevens Pass to the Mill Creek U-turn, head back west towards the pass two miles to the entrance of Smith Brook Road. Distance is 85 miles from Seattle 65th Park & Ride. Driving time is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Forest Passes are not required.

GEAR:
- Ice Axe is required.
- Snowshoes with snow poles are required.

ROUTE:
Follow the road past the switchback and find a good place to cross the creek, then head up the ridge to Lichtenwasser Lake. Gain the NE ridge and follow to summit.
