Lichtenberg Mountain - 7 miles (half on unplowed Smith Brook Road), 2700' gain.
Snow travel increases my rating of this trip to S2, T3.

Lichtenberg Mountain is located just north of Stevens Pass on the dryer side of the Cascade Crest. The route passes the still-frozen Lichtenwasser Lake on the way up Lichtenberg's NE ridge. Reference: Summit Post - Lichtenberg Mountain

There is no opportunity to safely practice self-arrest on the way in, so students MUST have satisfactorily completed the Snow Field Trip and be proficient in all snow travel techniques beforehand. Ice axe and helmet are REQUIRED.

I'll email TOPO! maps in JPEG format to trip participants prior to departure. Questions? Please call me.
