Alpine Scramble - Koppen Mountain
This is a special route using a traverse to climb Koppen Peak from the Johnson Creek TH, returning via De Roux Creek to De Roux Campground with distance of 9.5 miles and gain of 2850 feet.

MEETING PLACE: Meet at De Roux Campground by 9:00 am. From there we will organize a car shuttle to the Johnson Creek TH.
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS: Take I-90 E to exit #85, east Cle Elum. On the North side of I-90 follow SR-970 east to the Teanaway River Road. Follow Teanaway River Road N to the North Fork Teanaway River Road. Follow North Fork Teanaway River Road #9737 22 miles to DeRoux Campground, which is on a short spur road on the left. Driving time is 2 hours, 40 minutes from Seattle 65th Park & Ride.
