  • Strenuous 3, Technical 2
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 11.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,300 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 5,784 ft

7:30am start time at the Commnwealth Basin/PCT Trailhead.  If heading East on I-90, take exit 52. At the end of the offramp turn left (north) to head under freeway, then take first right (about 0.1 miles) to the trailhead parking lot.  (Note: this is right off the freeway and NOT Alpental.) Northwest Forest Pass or equivalent (American the Beautiful Pass okay) required for parking.

The plan is to head up the PCT trail, scramble up Kendall Peak, and then head over to Kendall Katwalk before heading back down to the trailhead. Plan on a long day at a moderate pace with quick stops along the way and lunch up at the top for 30-40 minutes. Please have a good fitness base for ascending and descending at this mileage. It should be a beautiful day up there with lots of amazing scenery so feel free to take photos as long as it is quick and efficient. Participants are encouraged to set up own carpools. An email will go out the day before. Kendall Peak is one of the Snoqualmie 10!
