This trip is 100% off trail, so we’ll be route finding from the moment we leave the road. Sorry, no students. Seasoned scramblers only-this one is challenging. Participants must be competent and efficient ascending and descending steep hard snow with crampons while self belaying with ice axe. Snow and rock S4-T5.
If there is significant precipitation in the forecast or avy concerns, our destination will change to something appropriate for the given conditions.
Required Gear (no exceptions): Ice axe, helmet, CRAMPONS, and snow shoes with aggressive point on the bottom, such as MSR.
