Description Jumbo Mt is east of Whitehorse Mt and about 4 miles south of Darrington. West Route (Squire Creek Rd). Ref: Cascade Alpine Guide Volume 2, Third Edition, pages 122-123. This is a challenging no boot path scramble. Strong seasoned scramblers who have been getting winter/early spring trips are candidates for this trip – . Snow and rock S4-T5. Weather dependant. Required Gear (no exceptions): Ice axe, helmet, and snow shoes with aggressive point on the bottom, such as MSR, AND CRAMPONS.
