This is a challenging scramble of a classic but beautiful peak on rugged and very steep terrain. There is a section of real exposure. Route finding is said to be tricky (there is a "hidden ramp") and participants should be prepared to contribute to group decision making. Due to the difficult terrain, we will likely not move quickly but will aim to gain around 1000 feet per hour. This route starts on a climbers path that gains 3200 feet in 1.5 miles!
In order for us all to enjoy this scramble, you should have been on multiple previous S4-5/T4-5 scrambles and have excellent conditioning. When requesting leader's permission, please tell me about these trips.
If the weather or smoke forecasts are unfavorable, the trip will be canceled.
