6:30 am at Chatter Creek #1580 trailhead, 14.7 miles west of Leavenworth on the Icicle Creek Road. Forest Pass required
Recommend camping Friday night at Chatter Creek campground, just west of the trailhead.
We'll consolidate at the Chatter Creek trailhead, leaving one car there before driving the remaining three miles to our departure point. The fisherman's trail to Sylvester Lake is typical - steep and sometimes difficult to follow. Navigation and routefinding will be aided by the use of GPS waypoints. I'll email specifics and a JPEG map on the Friday before the trip. There may be lingering steep hard snow on our descent through the northern cirque, so please note the Required Equipment list.
