June 22, Sun - Grasshopper Mountain, 6850' (SR5-5) (USGS Mt. David) 5 mi., 4900' gain. Moderate pace. Partly limit of 8. Helmets required. Meet at Grasshopper Meadows CG by 8 a.m. Recommend camping at Grasshopper Meadows CG Saturday night. Leader permission required. Contact leader for permission and additional information. Leader: Jeff Panza, 206-755-9962, scramblebear@speakeasy.net. (s3/25-06/19) Description This rarely done peak is short in milage but long in gain. Estimated time round trip is 10 hours. Equipment Helmets required. Driving Instructions Drive Hwy 2 to the Lake Wenatchee turn-off (Hwy 207). Continue past the Range Station, turn on the White River road. Drive to Grasshopper Meadows CG (1.6 miles past Tall Timber Ranch) and park. Route Description Participants will receive a description of the route after being granted permission by the leader.
