Alpine Scramble - Granite Mountain Trail
Olympia Scrambling students have preference. We'll set a moderate pace on the trail up and down, then take our time on the scrambling portion for route finding and practicing hand holds, foot placement and stance. The view from the look-out is spectacular.

Meet at trailhead at 6 am. Parking is very limited for this popular scramble. Carpool meeting place: Martin Way Park & Ride 4:30 for those who wish to car pool. We can make up for the early start by taking a long summit break & stopping for chow and beverages on the way home.
If you passed the Scrambling Snow and Rock portion of any branch, you qualify and can solidify your scrambling skills while having fun.
