Our original plan was to scramble Stevens Peak. However due to a forecast full of lightening, we decided it was not safe to go way out on that ridge. Instead we scrambled Goat Island.
Here is the original trip posting:

Stevens Peak is at the very eastern most end of the Tatoosh Range, on the south side of Mount Rainier.

Here is the official route description from the club:
Standard Route :Take trail to Snow lake, at the end of maintained trail at the S end of lake ascend gully (can be steep hard snow) just W of Unicorn through open basin to a saddle at 6600 ft. Continue E toward Unicorn to just below the horn and traverse and descend 600 ft. SSE to the 5800 ft. saddle between Boundary and Stevens. Traverse on the S side approximately 3/4 of a mile until you are below summit then climb open slopes to the top, some loose rock.

This is a full day trip. Please do not plan any activities for Saturday evening that you can’t be late getting home for.

Meet at the South Renton Park and Ride at 6:00 sharp. (S Grady Way & Shattuck Ave. S).

FYI: I may be slow to respond to email between 7/4 and 7/11.
