Alpine Scramble - Gilbert Peak/Klickton Divide

An overnight Scramble to a prominent peak in the Goat rocks wilderness

  • Elevation Gain: 6,000 ft
  • Pace: 1200-1500 feet an hour on trail or 2.5mph

*Leaders permission required for conditioning and steep snow climbing skills*

Please use mountaineers form to request leaders’ permission. Direct emails and leaders’ permission before registration open date will be ignored. This should not be your first snow scramble with the mountaineers. 

While requesting leaders permission - please highlight

1. Your recent hiking and conditioning in the last two months
2. If you have done any snow camping before 
3. If you are comfortable with an alpine start
4. If you are vaccinated and are planning to carpool
