  • Mileage: 28.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 8,100 ft

We will meet at the Ashway Park and Ride on Saturday at 9 a.m. We will stop in Winthrop for lunch before starting the approach.

We will do the approach hike Saturday afternoon and camp.  We will scramble both Gardner and North Gardner Peaks Sunday morning.  Depending on the strength of the group and the weather we will either hike back to the cars Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.  You need to be in excellent condition for this scramble.  We will do the approach at a 2 mile per hour pace.  If Gardner and North Gardner Peaks get early season snow I will still lead an alternate scramble to a peak or peaks at lower elevations.
