Alpine Scramble - Foss Peak

This is a snow scramble for Olympia Alpine Scramble students who need a snow scramble to fulfill course requirements. Others will be allowed to register after 12:01am on 5/4/24. If you fall in the "others" category and you register before that time, you will be dropped.

This trip requires successful completion of your snow field trips and conditioner. Olympia students may sign up prior to completion of the Snow 2 field trip, but you will be dropped if you do not complete it.

We will travel at a conversational "all day" pace, trying to keep ourselves warm but not sweaty. We will take a ~5 minute break after every hour of movement, with a longer break at the summit. There will be opportunities to practice skills like kicking steps and walking in balance, as well as glissading if conditions merit.

Meet at 7:30 AM at the Narada Falls trailhead.

There will be opportunities to organize carpools via email leading up to the trip.
