Alpine Scramble - Fay Peak, Hessong Rock & Mount Pleasant

It is supposed to be (a bit) cooler in the mountains than in the city, so let's go and scramble some peaks with gorgeous view of Mt Rainier. We will throw First Mother Mountain into the loop as well.

Mowich Lake campground parking lot (Spray Park trailhead) at 7am

The plan is to scramble Fay Peak first, then run the ridge towards East Fay and then drop towards Knapsack Pass. Then we will scramble First Mother Mountain, go back to the Pass and move towards Mount Pleasant and Hessong Rock. Afterwards, we will return to our cars via Spray Park trail.

We will evaluate how we feel (tiredness  and heat wise) at Knapsack Pass and modify the plan if needed (we can either skip doing First Mother or skip doing Mt Pleasant and Hessong Rock and go back through Knapsack Pass trail instead of making a loop).

We will be moving at moderate pace with breaks on the summits to admire the view and get a sip of water and one longer lunch break.

The trip will go only in a good weather.

We will follow Mountaineers COVID-19 Code of Conduct during the trip.
