Kendall Peak via SE buttress: estimated 11 mi, 3300' gain, S3-T4. Maps will be provided.
The plan is to drive up the road as far as possible from Gold Creek, then hike past the middle Kendall Peak Lake to the base of the SE buttress. From there ascend N-NW to the ridgetop and then on to the summit, mixed snow and rock. For a gander at the forested buttress above the lakes, look here.
Helmet, ice axe and crampons required, as are NW Forest Passes on cars. Sorry, no Students.
