Destination: Illabot Peaks 5944' - Class 3 with a few Class 4 moves.

Illabot Peaks is the highest point of a localized area of mountains some 8 miles SE of Rockport. It is in the National Forest just outside the Glacier Peak Wilderness, and west of North Cascades N.P. This peak is one of 144 in Washington with greater than 2000 feet of prominence. The views into the North Cascades from this unobstructed vantage are sweeping.

Illabot can be climbed in a half-day from the summer start points. Drive-time from Ash Way P&R; is about 2.5 hours.
