The goal of this exploratory scramble is Peak 8142, near the SW corner of the USGS Gilbert map. Beckey has a provisional name for it: Mt. Gibbs. The plan is to hike up the South Creek trail from the Twisp River Road, and then the branch to Louis Lake. We'll camp there, or possibly farther up the valley. We may also take a look at Peak 7787. Total elevation gain is at least 5000'.
